Need a date idea?

As many of you already know I was asked to give great date ideas for an Enrichment night. I had fun brainstorming and giving this topic. Everything went well. Thanks again for your emails and ideas. Here's my list. I took off the ones that only apply to our area. We'll be doing A3 and C6.

A. New twist on dinner dates

1. Go out to lunch or breakfast instead
2. Go to a Restaurant with live music
3. Force yourself to try new restaurants
4. Order dessert first
5. Do progressive dinner with restaurants or fast food places
6. Attend Dinner theater
7. Themed dinners. Invite friends over & have them bring food from their favorite movie

B. Dates at home

1. Play a board game. Invite another couple to join
2. Watch the stars
3. Sleep on the trampoline
4. Go hang out on your roof and watch the sunset or sunrise….or neighbors
5. Watch TV. together
6. Give each other a massage (reflexology)
7. Look at old photo albums
8. Rent a movie…foreign film, old classic, movie from teenage years, etc.
9. Make dinner together
10. Go cuddle and hang out in bed.
11. Work together on a house project
12. Have him paint your toenails-give each other pedicures
13. Teach each other a skill
14. Watch music videos on internet. Laugh at good ol’ days. Learn what kids are listening to.
15. Turn on some music and dance


C. Going out

1. Go to a Movie or IMAX
2. Double date with friends
3. Laser Quest
4. Fastkart Indoor Speedway
5. Wild Walls
6. Take your husband shopping…for himself
7. Ice skating
8. Roller skating
9. Skiing or Cross country skiing
10. Bowling…try themed bowling. Write on slips of paper funny things to do while bowling: sing ABCs, granny ball, use left hand, etc.
11. Miniature golf
12. Go cart
13. Arcades
14. Batting cage
15. Recreate your first date
16. Go to a play, theater, concert, museum, sports event, etc
Check your town's calendar of events

D. Going out without spending much

1. Go to a Matinee or Budget Movie theater
2. See if your main library shows older movies for free.
3. Go for a walk in your neighborhood
4. Go on bike ride
5. Go on a hike
6. Shopping cart dash
7. Test drive cars
8. Create own drive-in using your garage
1o. Go park …and look at the city lights
11. Go out for dessert
12. Build a snowman, have a snowball fight, go sledding
13. Check out Christmas lights
14. Do service/ volunteer work: children’s hospital, retirement home, soup kitchen
15. Go canoeing
16. Ice blocking
17. Attend high school sporting event
18. Go to the temple
19. Concert in the park during the summer
20. Be a tourist check out local historic spots
21. Karaoke
22. Take a dancing class:
23. Visit an art gallery
24. Go to Barnes and Noble
25. Play tennis or other sport, work out
26. Scavenger hunt or photo scavenger hunt -great couples idea
27. Get a group play capture the flag, paint ball, etc.
28. Play or visit at one of our many parks-take a dinner there
